These notes are intended to stimulate discussion of cultural magazines and the conditions under which they operate in Canada. They follow from a consideration of culture drawn from Hannah Arendt’s essay “The Crisis in Culture,” in Between Past and Present, and are intended to provide a basis for a panel discussion at MagNet in June 2011.
